As of today, we have Internet access, a home phone AND television with several English channels. I'm pretty sure my anxiety over being separated from Internet connection indicates that a job as a missionary in deepest, darkest Africa would not be for me.
I plan a day tomorrow of sitting around and surfing the net and watching TV and possibly talking on the phone. I need the break. Germany is really quite exhausting. I need to get a pedometer and see how many miles (or meters) I cover each day. No one thing is really that strenuous, but after all the walking, the carrying shopping bags while walking, dividing up the trash into various recyclable and composting types and delivering the items to the proper bins, the laundry and the sweeping and mopping (Germany is very dusty and we have all hardwood and tile floors), I'm quite tired at the end of the day.
If my speech is sounding a bit more formal than usual, it's because I hang out with quite a few English people. Expression like "a bit" and "quite a few" are creeping into my speech. I'll send more later, but now I have to run to the loo.
